Melodie Joy

Mom has been heavenly sent this weekend! Ryan, Melodie and I have two sparklingly clean bathrooms, a scrubbed and shined kitched, our baseboards throughout the apartment are dust bunny free, Melodie has a table full of freshly washed clothes and blankets, meals, clean sheets, etc. I don't know how we would have made it through the weekend without her...especially Melodie. She probably still wouldn't be eating. Thanks Mom, you're the best.


Here's a pic mom snapped on our way out to the doctor's office this morning. Melodie needed a weight and jaundice check, so her and I busted out of the apartment and walked to the doctor's. Everything went well, and she just needs to keep getting check-ups until she's back to her birth weight.
Also, I linked the title of the blog to Melodie's page where we've dumped a lot of pictures of her, so that we don't overrun the family blog. Thanks again for coming out to Milwaukee to meet her everybody. I have the best family around.

Melodie Joy Young

Melodie was born at 6:58 p.m. Wednesday night at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee. Mom and baby are doing well. Thanks to the ephederal the pain was minimal. Melodie was 7lbs. 8 oz. , as well as 20.5 inches long.

Clancy

We did it again!!! We got another cat. This one is a year and a half old and his name is Clancy (Brendan came up with the name). He is such a sweet cat. Fortunately, he had all his stuff done and is even front declawed!!! We rescued him and we are so happy to have him in our home. Dugan has such a love for animals so it is wonderful to see him enjoy the cat so much. He always tries to hug Clancy, and calls him "little white furball." Daphne woke up crying last night, she's had a fever on and off for the last few days, so I went up to check on her. I closed her door most of the way, and who came wandering up? It was Clancy!!! He came over to her and then he stayed in her room until I went downstairs after I got her calmed down. It is so neat to see him care for our family. He sleeps on the last step at night until Ben and I put him in the laundry room for the night- it seems as if he is protecting the kids. Clancy has lasted longer than the kitten we had last summer, and he's here to stay, we hope!!!

Spring training is over.

I just wanted to say that some fans of a certain team in a certain state like Wisconsin, only better have found the gumption to want to place a wee little friendly wager to see whose team will have a better season. Now I have to be honest. The last time Milwaukee had anything to cheer about we messed that up and brought in Elton John to play in front of millions of Harley riders. So really what can you expect from us. Were like the Lions, but all of the teams stink. Well if maybe someone mentioned that the season started and the tigers stooped using fifth string players every game they would not be 0-6. Wait a Second!!!!!!!! Before anybody gets in a tizzy. I have Ned Yost as manager. Three pitches who bring the gas can with them to the mound. And you think my team will have a better year. I wish we played in your division. We couldn't get it that easy. So maybe there right. Money doesn't buy everything. HEHEHEHE. Don't worry. You just are heading to play Boston, your sure to pull off a sweep their. As for the wager , Ben..... In true deal or no deal fashion. NO DEAL. For goodness sakes were talking about the brewers. Yeah. The Milwaukee Brewers. One more thing, are the Tigers really 0-6? Weird!
