Hopefully more love than hate...

I couldn't help it okay! I got "cookied". Here's the deal. Thanks to the incredible perks of Ceci's job, she got to get a new amazing retro bike. I went over to her house to see it, took a short bike ride with Elliana, and fell in love with the bike. Now, I have had a love-hate relationship with bikes. Of course, there were the glory days when Laura Unger and I used to tool around the neighborhood, no-handed, and grind 90 degree turns into her dirt driveway. Then, there is the bike that my host mother forced me to ride to school every day in Germany- even through the snow. And I decided that I didn't like bikes. But... sigh... that bike of Ceci's... the thought of a Holland summer day... sigh. So I researched retro bicycles on-line yesterday. Then, I found out all the great ones were way too expensive to get anyway. So I decided against it. But today, when I logged into Amazon to look for a totally unrelated book, the picture of this bike popped up (like a "sign" or "omen" or... perhaps Amazon had just cookied me. You know, kept track of my internet searches like Big Brother). And it was cheap, and I bought it! So, here's my new bike!!! The seat, granted, is not the plush comfort of Ceci's. But it is the beginning of my return to bicycle love.

Wisconsin State Bowling Tournement.

This is that time of year I look forward too. Bowling in the state tournament. It is the closest thing I can get to where I am put on a big stage. People from all over the country come to bowl in Wisconsin's tournament. While Nationals is bigger and more expensive, this is my masters. My Superbowl. My World Series. OK, you got the point. I am not sure when the stats will be updated, but you can go to www.wibowl.com and look up the standings. There are four weekends left of bowling. Our group is bowling tomorrow and Sunday. This year the tournament is held in my back yard, Milwaukee, so hopefully I can bowl well. No matter how it goes I know will have fun. I will leave a comment as soon as I know what division I am in and which different events, so you won't spend hours trying to see where I am.
