Lodie's first Brewers game

Lodie is 1-0 lifetime when it comes to major league ball games. We had a great time tonight, and she was the perfect baby. The 80 year old guy that sits behind us even took a picture of her on his camera phone and set it as his wallpaper! :) She was a hit! The Brewers won 1-0, on a run in the bottom of the eighth, and Ned Yost (the infamous manager) got his 400th win. Not too shabby for a first baseball game.

(Missy, Lodie wanted me to ask you why if she's waving, why aren't you waving back? I tried to explain pictures to her, but she just doesn't get it.)

No June Cleaver here

Today is the first day since Melodie was born that I feel like I have been able to get up and do something productive. I woke up this morning and called Adam Fogg to try and get Lodie in for an appointment, I called a woman from church that Ryan and I are having dinner with tonight, I started some laundry, folded Lodie's laundry and endeavored to make a double batch of chocolate chip cookies. Lodie was chillin' in her bouncy seat and things were going surprisingly well when I went to grab the flour/baking soda/salt mixture to mix in. That's when an undetermined amount fell on the floor. I fought tears, telling myself that it really was "no big deal" and that I could make a new mix, when I figured I would just measure out the remainder and guestamate how much to re-add to the flour. The cookies turned out fine, and Lodie slept through the whole thing. I know you can "baby-proof" a house, I just want to know if if you can "mom-proof" one.

Baby Hudson's Funeral
