Hey, Whatever Works

I arrived back home from doing road tests today and was sitting down at the round table by the TV to have some lunch when Missy buzzed through the front door. As she was flopping down on the sofa, and just before her touce hit the fabric she blurted out; "Carrie and James have pedometers!" Not concentrating I heard it as "Carrie and James have pajamameters!". I wondered if a pajamameter was something the doctor had advised to help with getting pregnant or if it was a wierd something else that I didn't want my brain to go to.
Missy corrected me and explained about the 10,000 step program, (or 6,000 if you work in a factory). It sounds like a great idea, so later when I went out to mow the lawn I had to keep part of it unmowed because I got to 9,700, and still had to have enough to get inside, fix dinner without mom here, sit down to watch the Tigers, go to the bathroom and get to bed. I may have to leave something out so I better get to the bathroom first.

Wide World of Sports

Well, another gymnastics session and baseball season has come to an end!!! The boys wrapped up their season this past weekend. Dugan played T-ball and did great. During the last half of the season, they were pitched to which made it more fun to watch. He is very excited to be done with T-ball and move on to machine pitch next year.

Brendan's team made it to the championship game!!!! It was such an exciting season. His team really came together at the end. They lost the final game in the last inning when they were up by two but the other team came back and scored three. Not without some drama and controversial calls, the playoffs were a blast and a bit stressful (Just wait until the games really matter!!). Brendan is also excited because he made Kingdom's travel soccer team.

And finally, Daphne completed a Spring session of gymnastics and is excited to start up again in a couple of weeks. It is amazing how much she has learned. She loved watching the Olympic Trials for gymnastics last weekend on TV. Who knows, maybe someday we'll get to watch her in the Olympics!!!

All in all, it has been a fun but BUSY spring and early summer. We are looking forward to things calming down, at least for a few weeks!!!

Raleigh's Ballet Dance

Raleigh had her dance recital tonight. She did great in her ballet and her tap dance. She is the one with the crooked wings - and yes, the ladies in front of me are laughing. The best part is that during her tap dance she smeared her lipstick across her cheek and by the time the ballet dance came - nobody had fixed it and it was still across her face. Her tap dance is cute too but I will only put this one on the blog :)
