She leaves the house looking like this...
So today Raleigh had a taste test and before we left I told her to take off her "princess clothes" and of course she refused. So, with the advice of my sister-in-law..."just let her go like that" I let her go like that. She was sporting 2 of her banklets (her new word for blanket), one tied "high in the back and the other tied on my butt in the back" and she also had to wear her apron like princess belle wears. Oh, not to forget the princess high heel shoes and 8 pounds of jewlery. She did want me to wear the "white lacy dress" a.k.a. the afghan that is a blobing blanket on the couch - but I refused. Anyway, the ladies at the taste test were quite amused. When we were leaving I caught a group of them gathered together getting a good laugh. The lady who checkes us in called her "Princess Raleigh" to which Raleigh was delighted. When I helped put on her princess ensamble this morning she actually said that now she was "georgous!" So as we were leaving the taste test this morning we had to pass a group of men in the hallway - they got a good laugh too and all I could say as we were passing them was, "...not a battle that I chose to fight today" to which they were still laughing.

I cannot stop laughing
OK- so I met Carrie at the mall on Thursday and Raleigh is dressed as the blanket princess. Carrie/Syd and Raleigh/Missy split up in the food court to get lunch- Raleigh trailing me clomp-clomp-clomping with her plastic high heels. I returned with my princess-niece to Carrie and told her that I looked like one of those hippie moms. It was awesome!!
Ellie wants to see that picture of Raleigh every day. "Mom, i want to see Raleigh in all those blankets." I say, that's fine, but don't get any idea's Ellie.
